Poetry to Music

Tomorrow I am going to a concert. I do not go to many concerts. The last person I saw in concert was Paul McCartney. Tomorrow I am going to see Carole King and James Taylor. I can barely put their names in the same paragraph as Paul's but they are good.
Most females in my age group, discovered Carole King's album (and it was an album), Tapestry. It was the summer between my eighth grade and freshman year. It was like that album was written for me. I played it over and over. I now have it on CD and in my ipod. Her songs still touch me. They are poetry to music.
I am attending the concert with a friend that has been a part of my life since the mid 80's. We do not see each other often. We do not even talk very often. When we see each other we start up where we left off. I am looking forward to sharing what I hope is a wonderful night with her.

This is one of my favorite Carole King songs.

Way Over Yonder

way over yonder
is a place that i know
where i can find shelter
from a hunger and a cold
and the sweet tastin' good life
is so easily found
a way over yonder, that's where i'm bound
i know when i get there
the first thing i'll see
is the sun shining golden
shining right down on me
then trouble's gonna lose me
worry leave me behind
and i'll stand up proudly
in true peace of mind
talkin' about
talkin' about
a way over yonder
is a place i have seen
in a garden of wisdom
from some long ago dream
oh yeah
maybe tomorrow
i'll find find my way
to the land where the honey runs
in rivers each day
and the sweet tastin' good life
is so easily found
a way over yonder
that's where i'm bound
oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
a way over yonder
that's where i'm bound

I am sorry to say I will put a few hours of work in at the insurance company before the concert. ):
