It is quiet in my house right now. I am sitting and enjoying it. The quiet will not last. My three grand children are here for the week-end. I picked them up on my way home from work on Friday. I have no idea when they go home today. While their parents enjoy a relaxing week-end on a houseboat with friends, we are not relaxing. Yesterday was a rain day. We were stuck in the house most of the day. We listened to arguing. Whining, cries of I'm bored. There was a child on me all day and usually another trying to find room. In a stroke of genius I remembered the Lincoln Logs. They loved them. Downside - Lincoln Logs everywhere!!!! My house is a disaster zone. I feel like I am always cooking and doing dishes.
Quiet time is over. Coco is up early today. She must want alone time with Grammy. I get why my daughter needs a break. I am ready for my quiet to return.
