Look At This Face

Today everyone in Tru Stories family took a birthday trip for The Kid, buttttt this little cutie. Coco and Grammy had a special alone day. It has been busy and fun.
First we went to visit her Great Aunt. When I say we went to visit her Aunt what I really mean is play with the little doggies. She has two adorable little dogs. They love Coco and Coco loves them. I got a great picture of Coco after she locked herself in the puppy cage. Sent it to Tru Stories to let her know everything was under control at home. We visited long enough with the puppies to exhaust everyone.
After a stop at The DQ it was home for lunch. Coco was famished. She was barely able to finish her chocolate shake and cuddle on my lap before she fell asleep. Now I could have put her to bed and got some work done around the house. Could have done my laundry. Could have read a book. What I did was snuggle under a soft blanket with my sweet baby for a nap. We took a nice afternoon nap while Popop watched his silly race.
Note: Laundry is still not done. While we napped no little elves came in and made shoes or did my laundry. They also did not grocery shop or pick up my house.
After our naps we went to the retirement home to look at the display of Christmas trees. The tree I worked on last week-end looks very cute. Thanks Tru Stories for sprucing that up. (Spruce, get it?) The ladies at the retirement home were thrilled to have a little visitor. They had to know two generations of my family tree and Coco's. I don't know who they are, nor did I ask. I did my good deed today by sharing the cuteness of Coco. She had on her white fur boots. They were a huge hit! If you live in my little town, go out to the retirement home and look at all the Christmas Trees on display. They are beautiful. Great way to get some Christmas spirit going.
We finished off our outing by stopping at the grocery store. We had a Capri Sun emergency and had to open the box in the store. I understood why she was thirsty. It was about 100 degrees in the retirement home. I was dehydrated too.
We are waiting for our pizza to be delivered for dinner. Coco is trying to get Popop to play baby dolls with her. She wants Popop's baby to be the Mom and kiss her baby. He is not playing along very well.
I will now start my laundry. I will need clean clothes even if this is only a 3 day week. It is going to be a busy 3 days.
Moral to this story: I do not think the 20 book goal is going to happen. I am not giving up. But, I will not put reading before cuddle time with the babies. If it happens, it happens.
