Happy Holidays!

I drove to work this morning and it was like looking at a Christmas card with a rural scene of the drive to Grandmother's house. The sky was beautiful. All the trees and bushes had a layer of ice and snow that made them appear to be frosted. I wanted a camera in my hand. There were so many sights that were worthy of a picture. It was a good way to start the morning.
Today was my last day of work before Christmas. My friends and I exchange gifts. We do not do anything huge. I enjoy this exchange. The gifts are always full of affection. I made scarfs for my friends. I hope they feel warm and wrapped in my love for them. The Old Lady was delighted with not just the gifts she gave me but their presentation. She gave me a bookmark. I love bookmarks. I have a collection. I think I am going to find a little box and put all my bookmarks together. And.......start using them more often!!! Next Old Lady found this tiny little gift tag holder that was like a gift holder. She put a pendent for me in that. It is very cute. Looks like an ornament. Has a J on it. I will be wearing it!! The Old Lady has become very important to me. We can share life experiences. And, she makes me laugh!
I am still searching for a blog name for Easy Rider. She does not like that name. So for this blog I will call her Grasshopper. It is from the old TV show Kung Fu. It really fits. Grasshopper is young and learning. Unfortunately, the learning part of growing up is not always fun. Trying to find her way in life. Grasshopper gave me homemade candy. I assume it is from her and Gma. It was delicious. It came in a felt gift bag. Not sure if that was homemade too, but it is super cute. I might be regifting the bag. Grasshopper and I have never worked on the same team. I am getting to know her through book club.
One of the gifts from My Girl T is also geared towards my love of reading. Little clip on book lights. Love, anything to do with reading. She also gave me some great smelling bubble bath. My Girl T and I have worked together for almost 10 years. We starting to get to know each other when we worked on the opposite side of a 6 foot wall from each other. We would talk over the wall. I am glad she joined the book club. I enjoy seeing this side of her.
Our gifts to each other are personal and caring. We do not have to spend a fortune to remind each other that our friendships matter.
Work friendships can be very important. We share day to day life together. Ups and downs. Now these three women are in book club with me. We are learning about each other on new levels. Great things come in little packages. Hope you all find that true during this Holiday Season.

I did not make the felt bag, it was a target purchase (thanks for thinking I'm that crafty) and the goodies are from me and gma. Hope you enjoy them, have a great Christmas!
