Prayer For Sale

Amid all the Christmas chaos, I found time to finish a book this week. It is called a Prayer For Sale by Sandra Dallas. It is by the author that wrote Tallgrass that I read a few weeks ago. I did not know it when I bought the book. The book was on clearance. It was a nice little story. It is set in 1936 in Middle Swan, Colorado. This is in the high country in a mining town. It is a story about Hennie Comfort an 86 year old that has lived in Middle Swan for years and Nit Spindle a 17 year old that recently moved to Middle Swan. Hennie takes Nit under her care. She wants to acclimate her to mountain life. She tells her stories of the people and history of the town. She introduces her to people. Hennie is coming to the end of her time in Middle Swan.
It is an unforgettable tale of a friendship between two women of two generations. It is about the great parts of human nature.
This was a nice read. Not deep. Just a story of two women and every day life. I enjoyed it. I am going to rate this book a 3.

Ho, Ho, Ho: The count is: 7
