My first Gnome was the usual cheap looking outside Gnome. This guy is the one I consider my first "real" Gnome. I love him. I would like all my Gnomes to be reading. They are harder to find. Unfortunately, I have one that was purchased as a gift that does not have a book. Tru Stories hates Gnomes. No surprise there! Life has made her bitter. She cannot enjoy the sweet things in life. In the summer this guy sits outside on my porch. In the winter he joins me inside.
I love these little guys. They stay inside on my entertainment center. I know what you are thinking, they are adorable. Gnomes make The Kid and I happy. Not sure why. Not outside tacky Gnomes. Cute, reading Gnomes.
The Kid bought me this Gnome. Because he is not reading, he is the Gnome going with me to the movie today. I will take my camera. I think I should be able to get some cute shots of him. We are going to see Gnomio & Juliet. Tru Stories and the kids are taking me. I am their Valentine. My little friend and I.I think we will have a Gnomtastic day!

Sounds fun!! Have a great time!
how embarrassed is Tru Stories b/c you're taking a gnome? or does she not know? she does not understand
Did you ever know David the gnome and his wife Lisa? I used to watch his wonderful world on Nickelodeon when I was little. Gnomes are fun.
I'm going to be real honest with you here, Page Turner. I love you, but if you were my mother and I invited you to see a movie with my children and me about gnomes and you exited your house carrying your own gnome with the intent to take it into the movie theater with you, I would be forced to make you walk in 10 minutes before or after me and I would sit at least five seats away from you.
To prove my point: I once ignored my own mother for the entire length of a 3rd grade Halloween party when she showed up dressed in my dad's owl costume from a DTHS 1972 production of "Winnie The Pooh". My friends thought each flap of the wings and accompanying "hoot hoot" were awesome; I wanted to melt into the floor and cease to exist.
Good luck, Tru Stories. You must be a better daughter than me.
This was not a giant Gnome. It is a little, discrete Gnome.
