I know some (most) of my fan base is fall-out from Tru Stories famous blog. That makes it easy to do a rebuttal (stealing her idea) to her blog. As some (anyone that has been around her for weeks) of you know, there has been a cloud of doom hanging over her home in the last few months. Some of you might think the problem could be that she lives in a 53 year old home that just needs some updates. (Her grandparents did not do any updates on that house after they built it.) In truth, the problem at Tru Stories home is, they bought a new furnace and splurged for a central air conditioner. That is spitting in the face of homeowner Gods. From that moment forward they were doomed for something major to go wrong. That is Home Ownership 101.
All those stories (blown out of proportion minor incidents), are cute on the blog. If I only had to read about a little dent in her bumper caused by hitting a bunny, it would be a nice laugh. I have to live it. Over and over. Nobody has that many terrible things happen to them (our family really does). I figured there were only two choices. Put some positive energy into their home or continue to listen to the whining. Worse yet, what if that house fell to the ground and she brought the rest of her family to stay in my home along with the pets she has thrown out.
This project was going to take some research on my part, It would not be easy to gather information on ridding her home of negative energy (I googled it on my lunch). I was afraid it might take months and miles of driving to find all the materials needed for the cleansing. (A new girl that sits next to me at work said there is a store in the mall that sells hookahs.) Once I located a store that had some of the cleansing items used in the practice of feng shui (think Mother Murphys in uptown moves to the mall), it was time to clear my mind and ready the materials for the cleansing. (I took my new hippie earrings out of the bag of junk I was taking to the house.)
It was a tough gig. It was hard to distinguish energy from the my sweet grandchilren happily playing in their rooms (the wild brats grabbing at the incense, trying to use the lighter and screaming give me, give me) from the energy given off by years of life in the house. Basically, I burned some incense, smudged (burned sage) around the house and children and pushed the negative energy out the door.
Am I magical? If I could make magic, there would be a rainbow over my house with a pot of gold at my door. Is it the work of occult? People I googled a couple of chants. Am I a witch? Don't any of you answer that question. I am just a Mom and an amazing Grammy (probably the best ever). I remember how tough it was to start out in life. Truth is, Tru Stories lives in a house that was filled with love for years and years. It was filled with six kids, many grandchildren, even a couple of great grandchildren. They do not need to worry about Donald Doom or whatever he is called. They are a beautiful couple that enjoy and love each other, and their kids. They plan some great events, big and small. Tru Stories has overcome so many obstacles. A dark cloud will not hang over her house for long.
Let's face positive chants can be helpful. They even use them in Yoga. Now about the sandalwood and sage; people there was pooh under her house, burning incense was not going to hurt a thing!

Your best blog post yet!! Especially that last sentence. Nice work!!!
i wish i would've been there for this one. not the actual 'ritual' you perfomed, but being there for the research, the induction into the Wiccan culture, the temporary transformation to a witch & then the follow up.
You know it was a team builder Millhouse.
I suppose totally stealing my style... is a form of flattery?
Mixed in there, were a few compliments we'll happily take. It's pretty easy for us to get along. Coach, mostly does what I say.... And I try really hard to pretend he is a God.
Thanks to my mother, for working her (*)/Witch magic.
I would have liked to be there for the cleansing! Strong work Page Turner!!
