I love this. Tru Stories brought Oprah magazines and set them out in our hotel room.
Just in case Oprah stopped by. She needed to know Tru Stories had a subscription.
This is our hotel room. We stayed at Crown Plaza. Does it look like a $220 room?
For us it was about location, safe place for my car, and I like nice hotels.
We were only in the room 9 hours.
There are no pictures in the studio. There are pictures in the store.
The girls that took our picture had front row seats at the show.
Their Dad was someone on Oprah's staff.
On of them was buying a pair of Oprah's shoes from Oprah's Closet.
I told Tru Stories she could buy anything she wanted in the store.
I was serious. She let me off easy. Think about it, Oprah's store and clearance items.
BIG TIME FUN!!
Here we are outside the store. Happy, happy faces. Our mecca in the background.
Beautiful weather too.
I think the sun always shines over the Oprah Studio.
This is the shot Tru Stories kept looking for. It was on the opposite side of the building from all the taxis.
We walked all the way over for the pictures.
It is lovely.
Here we are hungry, dehydrated and exhausted.
We are also, very, very happy!!
I will never forget this special day with my daughter.
One of the first "girl" movies we went to (not including Disney) was Pretty Woman.
The last mother/daughter movie we attended before Tru Stories moved across country was the Runaway Bride. I was visiting Tru Stories across country watching the Oscars with her when our Julia won her Oscar. Julia has been around for some mother/daughter bonding. Oprah has been a part of our lives for 25 years. Coming home after school Tru Stories would sit in the living room telling me about her day while Oprah was on in the background.
I do not know how many times one of us has said, "Did you see Oprah?"
Now we can say, "remember when we went to Oprah."
Tru Stories, in case I forgot to tell you, I had a great time.
Thanks for taking me.
Love you so much!
