Day 2, What I Have Learned

Technically, I am on vacation until July 1st.  I feel awkward calling it retirement.  I will not get to stop working.  The downside to staying at home to raise my kids is I did not spend years building up a retirement, nest egg, or anything else that means I can stop working.  I am fine with that.  If Coco's works, I do not think it will be like a boring job.  There is a saying, if you find something you love to do, you will never work a day in your life.  I will let you know if that is true.
Day 2 of my new adventure I have already learned a few things.

If I am not getting up at 4:30 or 5:30 am, I do not need an alarm.  On my own I wake up around 6:30am.  I am fine with that.  I go to sleep at a reasonable time.  I do not plan on getting in the habit of staying up late and sleeping late.  When Coco's opens I should be able to sleep until 7:00.

Yoga feels good.  Wish there were a few more chair classes a week.  I need to baby step my way back into it.

There is this place people take their cars, put money in a machine, a super power vacuum sucks up the mess on the floor.  Who knew?  My car was disgusting.  Just a little effort and it looks so much better.  (I'm not going to lie, I believe husbands should clean and wax the cars. Old School, but still.)

I love seeing the kids more.  I saw them quite a bit when I worked but most of it was shoved into the week-end.  Now I can see them whenever I want.

People seem to be getting excited about Coco's.  Hope I don't let them down.

Sunday is not such a negative day when I am not dreading going to work on Monday.  I enjoy it so much more.

I do miss having so many adults to talk to during the day.  Once Coco's is open that should not be a problem.

Tomorrow I go check out a candy store in Washington.  The pictures look amazing.  I know I will not be on that level at the start.  The inventory is HUGE!
Still moving forward.
