Enjoying The Sweet Life

The last week I have been, crazy busy.  Putting in long hours every day.  I spend so much time on the computer.  Looking for things, comparing prices.  Just finding the right chairs for Coco's took me a few hours.  I want everything to be just right.  In addition, I am clueless.
Last week I started receiving deliveries.  Cash register, coffee maker, popcorn machine, jelly bellys, candy, jars, baskets.....things just keep coming.  This week I have more deliveries due.  I keep lists.  What I ordered, from who, when I ordered it, the date I receive it, if it is UPS or Fed Ex.  I will put all this info in my computer.
I ordered the shirts and aprons for me and my niece to wear.  Saturday I spent a few hours making my business cards.  Yesterday, Coach and TS came back from vacation and helped me get so much done.  The floor plan is finally figured out.  That was huge.  Coach is finishing all the projects I threw at him.  I had lots of furniture to be painted.  Love, love what he has done.  Helps to have creative people like Coach and TS in my corner.
The hardest thing I have to do is create my inventory, figure out all the prices, get the tags made.  So many details.  The details kept me up very late last night.  I was not naive going into this.  I knew that I have SO much to LEARN.  Some of it is fun.  Some of it is very stressful.  I am afraid the cash register programming will be stressful.
I still have some things to figure out.  Where is the best place to buy what items is the biggie.  Cannot buy everything at the same place.  That would be too easy.  Would be a sport at all if it was easy.  Now that I have WiFi at Coco's, I can work there all day.  It is so peaceful.  I cannot wait until some of the personal touches are complete.
Tomorrow I need to go to my old work city.  Many errands to run.  The Kid and I have our chiropractor appointments.  I dislike having to be away from Coco's for so long.  My great niece will hold down the fort and be there for deliveries.
I came up with a catch phrase that will eventually go on t-shirts for sale:
I Enjoyed The Sweet Life At Coco's.
That is how I feel when I am there.  Each day flies by.  It is so fulfilling.  I cannot wait until it is open for business.  I hope it is successful and is open for years and years.  I look forward to meeting new people.  Opening day has been pushed back.  It will be after July 4th.  I will keep you posted.  This will be down to the wire!
I know what you are all wondering, am I sorry I retired and took all of this on?  NO!!!!  Do I miss my friends, YES.  When things settle down, I will get to spend time with them.  Coco's has already become a hang out for a couple of my friends.  I love that.
I need to get back to paperwork.  Make a list of what I need to buy tomorrow.  All the stops I need to make.  Get back to my inventory and pricing.  Work, work, work........
