Tonight is book club. I was not going to be able to attend due to everyone that would be able to cover the store is busy in sports or attending sports. It was really breaking my heart because I was loving this month's book. We read, The Aviator's Wife by Melanie Benjamin. Not going to lie reading at the store instead of getting some other work done. Shame on me. Even if I was not able to attend the meeting I wanted to read the book. Glad I did. It is a good one. Hope people that attend the meeting read the book this month. The Page Turners have not been good at turning pages lately. That makes for less than exciting meetings. That is too bad because the books have been good. Anyone The Kid does not have a baseball game tonight so TS is going to step in for me. Tru Stories is winning many points for this. Taking care of my shop is not her thing. I tried three other back-ups, all busy.
I have been getting more reading done. That can be dangerous. When I am reading a good book, I do not want to have to stop to earn money at my store. Not good!! No more reading today. I need to pay bills. I promise starting a new book seems like more fun than paying bills!!
I really can't discuss The Aviator's Wife until after book club. I can say it is about Anne Lindbergh. The wife of Charles. It is historical fiction. Most of it is based on facts with fiction thrown in that makes in very interesting. Now I want to read more about Anne. I want to read her book, Gift from the Sea. I will put that on my long list of books that I am not getting to. In my spare time I have been reading books that have piled up on Kindle. I download free books when I see something of interest. Been trying to get those read and off the Kindle.
