Pay It Forward

This morning I woke up and found this on my Facebook page from Arizona.  What a great way to start my day.  I have said many times that Arizona is a very special person in my life.  I expected when she moved so far away we would gradually drift apart.  We have not!  In many ways we are much closer than we were before.  It is so much easier to share deep feelings through writing than in person.  Sad, but true.  I realized this was going to set the tone for my day.  Feeling extra love, reminded that I have this "once in a lifetime friend" in another time zone.  I knew I needed to give this feeling to someone else.  Many days I leave notes for my son reminding him of something he needs to do or should not do.  Today I left him a note telling him how much I love him, how proud I am of how far he has come.  He does not have a "once in a lifetime" friend.  I hope my note reminds him that he is special and loved.  That is how Arizona's note made me feel.
As we remember 9/11 today and all the lives lost, it is a good time to tell the people close to us they are loved.  A sunny day can turn ugly in the blink of an eye.
Thank you my friend!  Love you right back!!
