I was able to finish another book last night. It is the second of a series by Richard Paul Evans called Miles to Go. The first book was, The Walk. This is the story about Alan Christoffersen. His wife passed away and he lost is business. Alan made the decision to walk away from his old life. He is walking from Seattle to Florida. Before he was out of Washington, Alan was jumped by a gang and stabbed. This book picks up with Alan in the hospital. A stranger takes Alan home to take care of him through his recovery. Angel helps Alan heal and start to walk again. Alan and Angel are able to help each other continue on with their lives.
Alan heals and continues on with his walk. This story does not end. It is obvious that the story will continue. I think that there can be at least two more books from this story. It is a good book. I will rate it a 3. The story can continue to be interesting.
I have read 38 books for the year. I am behind where I should be. At the end of June I should be at 50. I do not think that is going to happen. It is harder for me to read in the summer. It is also hard for me to read when my grandchildren are so adorable. When The Kid comes over we can read together. When the girls come over, they want attention. They like to play and cuddle. I am more than willing to give up reading to spend time with all of them.
I was given a book for my birthday, The Art of Racing In The Rain. I have been wanting to read it. I think that will be the next book I start. Should have it finished by the end of the week. I need to pick the book for The Page Turners for July. Anyone have any suggestions? Let me know.
