Dear Tru Stories:

I am afraid we gave you the wrong impression at our Page Turner meeting the other night.  Due to the fact there was only a small group in attendance I think you got the impression our group is not serious about reading.  We are very serious about our club.  Because there were only four of us in attendance, we were out of our element, none of us were wearing our cult Page Turner necklaces; it might have made you feel like it is just about fun and chatting.  That is not true.  The members really are expected to read the books.  Normally, we have deep discussions about the book because all the members have read it.  There are really eight members of our group. 
Here comes the awkward part.  A person does not get to say, "I think I will join your book club."  You must be invited to join.  It is a long process.  You need to be nominated.  We vote.  So, very glad to hear you are interested in our little club.  Thanks for your interest.  We will keep you posted.
