Last night a few Page Turners made the journey to my town. This is part of the scenery
in the back of The Mansion. It is a beautiful place.
Here is our group. The Kid joined our meeting and
took the picture.
We put Old Lady in the handicapped spot.
Note the big shoe. It seems her bones are crumbling.
Old Lady and Easy Rider on the patio.
If you look over Easy Rider's shoulder you can
see Tru Stories. She joined us for our meeting.
After dinner she ditched us for a bit.
Once again, note the fun Tru Stories is having at
her new table.
How about this over the shoulder, glam shot.
Beautiful smile! She enjoys our company.
It was suppose to be a Page Turner meeting. Only two of us read the entire book. Old Lady came close to finishing. Easy Rider is too busy with OT and life to read right now. Tru Stories said if she does not have to read the books to join the club, she is in. We could have a new member. Two members read the book but had last minute plans and did not make it to the meeting. This was our first Friday night meeting. Not a good night to get together. We picked Friday for those that wanted to make the long journey to my home town.
Our book was, The Summer of Us by Holly Chamberlin. Good book. I read it and rated it a 3. Because I read it too early and needed to refresh, I had to quickly go through it a second time. I gave it a 4 the second time.
Our book for next month is, What You Have Left by Will Allison. It is the Old Lady's pick. Sounds like a good one.
I think I am back from my blog break. I have been doing quite a bit of reading. Some much needed cleaning. Most of all, catching up on my rest. I will tell you about some of the books I have read in my next blog.

I'm sure I didn't get any credit for the two plus hours, spent at your table, bringing my sharp bitter sarcasm to the Page Turners. Good news ladies, I may consider joining the club. Especially now that I learned, you barely have to read the book.
I can probably find the time for that.
-Did anyone else notice, Old Lady managed to mention Munchkin, like four times? Obsessed much?!
Maybe if I could have served up Munchkin more members would have attended.
Well Tru Stories I suppose you did add some additional laughs at the table.
