Most of the time I am opposed to shutting off the air conditioner. I get sinus headaches. I work in a closed environment all day. I have become "conditioned" to the cool air. The problem is with the extreme heat we have suffered through this summer, I have not enjoyed enough outside time. I go from my house to my car, to my job. It feels like the entire summer has passed me by as I have sat in my house. I am craving fresh air. Even if it only lasts two days. I will take sinus medicine, advil, and enjoy my house being opened up.
I made the decision today that I need to practice patience for more than a day. I will work on it for a week. Today I started to become irritated over something at work. I remembered to check myself. I stopped fretting over whatever it was. Most of the time when something starts to get to me at work, it is not something worth worrying about. I need to let it go. My patience really gets tested at home. I need to remind myself to stay calm with my son. Losing my temper does not get us anywhere. I think I need a calming chant. Too bad Tru Stories does not use chants in yoga. She might be able to help me.
I have a new great niece. She does not have a bookend cousin at Tru Stories house. That is fine. I can comfortably spoil my three grand children. I hope I get the chance to meet our newest baby girl soon. I know she is another beauty.
Yesterday I was talked into joining Weight Watchers. I have tried it before. I enjoy the food. I did not like the meetings I attended before. Last night I enjoyed the meeting. I am attending with a friend in the city. Fingers crossed I can find and keep the motivation.
This is going to be a long week. I have some fun things planned for Saturday. I will patiently wait for the week-end. I am going to try to enjoy the moment. Time already moves too quickly! I also need to make time for reading. That was the reason I started the blog.
