Dear Jersey Girl:

Thank you for picking a fantastic book for our September meeting.  Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman is a great read.  I rated it a 5 the first time I read it.  I think I enjoyed it even more the second time I read it.  It is a little gem.  There were so many things I could relate to what I am going through.  We notice that at book club quite a bit.  Even fictional stories can touch on things we have experienced in real life.
If you have not read, Saving CeeCee Honeycutt but it at the top of your list.  Beth Hoffman is a good writer.  Her words are beautiful. I could see every single detail of the house, the property, the people.  (Old Lady missed a few details.  A major detail.)  I wanted to be in Savannah bathing in my private outdoor bathtub in my huge garden.  I always want to be in Savannah when I read about it in books!!  It is such a sweet story.  A little girl that suffers a terrible sadness is taken in by her Great Aunt.  She is welcomed into her Aunt's life by some amazing women.  Loved this story.
Jersey Girl you were hilarious last night.  I have not laughed that hard in a long time.  I left the dinner in such a great mood.  You were really on.  Please never leave The Page Turners!  We need you.  I forgot to tell you last night that I am reading a book that reminds me of The Time Traveler's Wife.  It is Before Ever After by Samantha Sotto.  I am reading it on my Kindle or I would pass it along to you.  I know you will enjoy it.  My goal is to finish it today.  Look for my review soon.  Thanks again for your hilarity last night.  They were probably ready to kick us out of CJs.
To Old Lady:  Once again your wisdom was so on the money.  Taking your advice.  Going to pick my battles.  My Counselor used the exact words.  Please do not bill me!!  Appreciate your support.
Feel more hopeful today.  Amazing how much I enjoy talking to a counselor.  Shocked that it really helps.
Easy Rider is pushing us outside of our comfort zone.  (Especially me!)  Our October book is, The Devil  In The White City by Erik Larson.  Thanks for an interesting pick.  Bought it today.  Along with a couple of other books.  I will not start it for a few weeks.
The Page Turners will be celebrating our 2nd year anniversary soon.  There are 5 of the original members left.  We were all at the dinner last night.  This experience has been all I hoped for and more. Yeah us!!

I had a blast, although I'm pretty sure CJ's won't take our reservations any more...
