500 Posts

This is my 500th post.  I have shared the highs and the lows.  My family, my hobbies, too much sorrow.  My readers might not always enjoy reading about the sad things in my life but it sure has helped me.  Most of the time I feel like this is a journal.  It started out about books.  Somehow my life has taken over.  Not sure how many people are really reading what I write.  For those of you that are out there, thanks for showing up. 
I want to share with you one of my favorite memories.  On May 3rd, I received a call at work.  Tru Stories said, look at my blog I just put new pictures of the girls up.  I said, I saw them.  She said, NO, I just put them up.

This is NOT a Joke....

Dear Mom-

If you are not too busy....

The Oprah Winfrey Show just called me.
They have awarded me TWO tickets for tomorrow's show, after reading my letter.

The Show is starring Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks.
We can leave tonight, to privately view their brand new movie and then we need to be at the Harpo Studio by 7:00am tomorrow morning, for the taping.

Soooo...
Wanna go???

Has to be one of the greatest blogs ever written.  I cannot guess how many times I have gone back to read this post.  Great memory. 

Tru Stories:  You are a planner.  You love the big events.  There you were in shock, just received the most shocking call of your life, and you thought to notify me by blog.  I wish I had a video of my reaction and all the reactions of the people around me as they figured out what was going on.  Good times.

Happy One Year since we had our greaTeSt adventure of all times!!!   One year later, it can make me tear up.  I still love me some Oprah.
