Rock of Ages Relay Dance 2013

Another Relay Dance is complete.  I am not going to lie, I am a little bit hungover today.  Anxiously waiting for pizza and Dr. Pepper (pop that cures hangovers).  This year the dance theme was Rock of Ages.  Millhouse planned a visit home around the dance.

 Here is Millhouse with Tru Stories.  Millhouse knows Tru Stories.  It is not just a follow on blog relationship.  They go way back to when Millhouse lived in our state.

 Millhouse brought her BFF who is also a blog follower.  She does not have a blog name.  Should I go with Katy Perry?  Kidding.  Before the dance even started The BFF, Millhouse, and I laughed and laughed.  It was gearing up to be a great evening.

 Old Lady this is for you.  Had to get a picture with The General.

Notice his sad face.  He was missing you.  The more I get to know The General, the more I like him.  He is not just a pretty face!  We were lucky enough to run into the Mrs. and The General when we went with Grandma & Grandpa for a grease run after the dance.  Had a few minutes to chat with The General about the juvenile prison system.  The General works in a soon to be closed facility.  Thank goodness he has the Mrs. to compliment his hardened by his profession personality.

 Below are The General's shoes.  Normally, a person would think, bet those were expensive for one night.  When you are The General and buy these shoes you know you will wear them multiple times.  They appears at The Recycle Wedding when he was Frankenstein.  Looking forward to see how he can wear them next.  General it would be a great tradition if you manage to wear these shoes to every dance.  Challenge thrown out there.

Unfortunately, Millhouse and Katy had to leave early.  Millhouse's baby spent a couple of hours screaming.  He wanted his Mommy!  That happens.  At least they were able to meet some of the people they have read about for years.  When the Mrs. walked in you would have thought they just spotted Madonna.  They about jumped out of their seats.  I enjoyed the heck out of the little big of time I got to spend with Millhouse and Katy.  Hope we can do it again.
The dance was not one of my favorites.  The music was TOO LOUD.  It was impossible to carry on conversations.  As always, I enjoy getting to talk to some of the people I have met through Tru Stories.  Used To Be A Hooker was there.  She is beginning to be one of my favorite people.  I admire young Mom's brave enough to have three kids in this busy world. 
Rock and Roll did not offer the opportunity to have the choreographed dance skits we have come to expect.  The team did not let us down.  They put together some dances.  I was not able to get any pictures from our angle.  Hope someone else got some good pictures.  Tru Stories was Steven Tyler.  She did a great job.  Coach was Kid Rock.  He was very good too.  Check out some of the other blogs.  I'm sure there will be a video soon.
The proceeds from the dance went to a good friend of the Relay Family.  He is usually the DJ at their events.  Really at everyone's events in our town.  He is suffering from renal failure and waiting for a kidney transplant.  This dance was another opportunity for people to show him their love.  Tru Stories gave a great speech.  She said, he is the soundtrack to all the big events in their lives.  So Tru!
Dr. Pepper is here.  Starting to recover now that it is almost bedtime.  What did I drink?  I have no idea.  It was a red slush.  I know it had plenty of some type of alcohol in it.  Yummers!  Nothing an icepack and lots of naps could not cure.
