Night Out

Once in awhile we do grown-up stuff. When we do it is usually with my husband's brother and his wife. Seated across the table from me. We always have a great time. There is usually wine and food. Last night was not an exception. This was a big get together. We invited my brother and his wife and a friend from long ago and his wife. The occasion was to see a wine and cheese cafe.
The afternoon was hot. So very hot & humid. We were not looking forward to being outside. Before we left the rains came. Lots of rain. We were concerned our outside time would be spoiled. We were pleasantly surprised when the temperature and humidity dropped. The temperature was in the 70's. It was wonderful.
Part of the name is TCC. Stands for Two Crazy Chicks. One of the crazy chicks our server. She was delightful. We had a great time with her. She seemed to have a great time with us. I know she enjoyed tallying up our bills. We really did our part to help her business.
The wine was fantastic. Normally, I stay with white wine. Last night I went red with a pinot noir. It did not disappoint me. Delicious! We all ordered appetizers to go with our wine and shared. I ordered a garlic & herb flatbread, ummm, delish. Someone ordered a plate of meat. Duck was on the meat tray, also delish. There was brie with raspberry sauce on top, pretzel bread, cheese tray, french bread. Everything was unique and so verrrrry good.
Conversation flowed with the wine. We were small town impressed with their gadgets. They had this thing that cooled wine instantly. Crazy!! Laughter flowed with the wine. It was a relaxing, enjoyable, delicious night.
Today I am off on another adventure. This time with the kids.
