In a few days this is some of the scenery I will be looking at. I have started packing my suitcase. I love to pack early and keep packing. Preparing for the trip is so much fun. We have been charting our course and recharting our course. I think we have finally figured everything out. Mountain vacations are amazing. If you have not seen the Rockies, put it on your "list." The only season I have not visited Colorado is Fall. Summer is my favorite season. If I skiied, I might feel differently. Ever turn of the road can produce another jaw dropping view. Most of the time it is like looking at a picture. Never seems real.
One of my top moments in Colorado took place in the winter. There was snow all over. Several of us were sitting out in my sister in law's hot tub. It felt like I could touch the stars. They were so bright. There is a hot tub in one of the places we are visiting. I imagine I might be able to find time for a glass of wine and some relaxing time in the tub.
The downside to a vacation like this is there are so maaany things to see. We will want to do so much. What I would really like is a few days next to a pool that faces the mountains. I would like a horseback ride. I would like a hot air balloon ride. (Already priced the balloon ride and it is not going to happen.) I know we will hike. We will probably do a white water raft trip. We will eat too much. There will be wine. I know Tru Stories, I am in charge of The Kid. There will be wine in moderation.
I feel like at the end of this trip, I will be glad to see home. Hope I come home relaxed, content, very well read, and ready to face my life with renewed energy.

In honor of your fabulous mountain getaway, I started reading Eat, Pray, Love last night. I'm hoping it will serve as inspiration as I begin the new school year, and if it doesn't I'm going to blame you. :)
I will wait anxiously for your review. Not everyone in the book club are crazy about it.
