This is book four of The Bride Quartet written by Nora Roberts. I have really enjoyed these books. It is about four friends that open a wedding business together. One friend organizes the events, one is the florist, one is the photographer, one is the baker. Parker and her brother inherited their family home when their parents died. It is a mansion on a large estate. They convert it into a place to have weddings and other events. The girls have been best friends since they were young. When they were children they always had pretend weddings.
Each book is about one of the friends falling in love. Each story is told from the perspective of the friend the book is about. I do enjoy sappy romance once in awhile. I also love the idea of the wedding planning.
The sad thing about it being the last book is I still want more. Only one out of the four friends got married. I cannot believe we are not invited to the rest of the weddings! That explains how I can feel about the books I read. If books are well written, I feel like I am a part of the story. I want to see it out. I want to know who walks Parker down the aisle. I want to know what kind of flowers are used at the weddings.
On the other hand, I would rather an author leave me wanting more than disappointed because the stories become lame. Better to have less than too much of a good thing.
I can only rate this book a 3. Since it was the fourth book, there were no surprises. But, I did enjoy the nice, light read.
It is only Saturday night. If I ignore cleaning tomorrow, I can read another book!
The Count is: 24 This is starting to feel doable.
