Coco's Book Club

Mornings are very quiet in Coco's Sweet Shop.  On a personal note, I enjoy the quiet.  On a professional level, no people = no money.  I am not a financial whiz, yet I figured that out.  This morning I had an ice coffee and read the paper.  Finished moving some shelves around.  New stock means reorganization.  I still have two large orders due.  I added the new arrivals to my inventory.  Straightened up.  Now I wait for people to come in.  Today I had a few people waiting on the train.  As soon as I get my banner up, I hope to have more train traffic.  Most of the people just want to use the restroom.  They buy something to not feel guilty.  I can live with that.  There should be a restroom at the train station.  Before I start reading, thought I should get my blog up.
Special mention to my blog followers that made it to Coco's since I opened.  Good to see The Street Sweeper and his wife.  He did not bring his broom.  The street in front of my store could use some cleaning up.  (Does our village have a street sweeper?)  The Bride's Dad has been in a couple of times.  Nice to chat with him.  One of the best things about my new career, chatting with the people.  Talking to the children is fun too.  Love my new profession.
I was trying to think of ways to draw people into my store in the mornings.  Be nice to have someone come in and read children's books.  Not too much to do for children in our village.  Just need to find a volunteer to fill that position.  Let me know if any names come to mind.  My brother is an awesome reader.  Unfortunately, he has a full-time job.  I suppose I could do it.  It would work better if it was someone else.  Just one of the ideas I am rolling around my mind.
Another thing I have been thinking about is books.  I think I need to start: Bring a Book/Take a Book.  Going to look for a shelf for that.  Would also enjoy some morning book discussions.  Does not have to be an official book club.  Just have people come in and talk books.  Working on that.  Coco's has such a nice atmosphere for people to sit at the tables and talk.
I will keep you updated on my life when I get the chance.  Need to appear to be working.  Also, have to start reading July's Page Turner Book.  Hear it is a long one!!!
