Journey To The Promised Land

After waiting almost a year, Tru Stories finally fulfilled her promise to take me up North to Ikea.  I listened to people talk about Ikea for years.  TS said we could not go on week-ends.  There are many rules to shopping at Ikea.  We left late in the afternoon yesterday.  We had to go out of the way to avoid construction that is causing major back-ups on the interstate.  We still made good time and TS easily found the store.  She did make one call to Coach to confirm she knew where she was going.  She did not.  After accusing Coach of making up a new way to get to Ikea, we located it right where he said it was.  Weird! 
Before entering the Ikea world I was told about the rules.  First we had to use the restroom.  Next we had to eat.  Finally, we would enter the showrooms.  The rule is we could only enter the rooms that had things we needed.  Per Tru Stories if we went too far into it, there was no way out.  What she did not tell me was I needed to very specifically write down the number of the item I wanted to buy and what aisle and bin it was located in.  That key piece of instruction kept me from having a few adorable red shelves for Coco's.  I was looking for glass jars for Coco's too.  Tru Stories told me we would come across them.  We did not.  I did find some amazing, sturdy wire racks.  My store room is already more organized.  Very excited.  The mess was drive me insane.
I really liked Ikea.  I would like to go back again when TS does not have a huge list of things she needs.  It would be nice to walk in all the showrooms, just to look.  If I could have bought everything at Ikea for Coco's, it would have been adorable.  One day, I will replace the shelving I have with super cute Ikea shelving.
New this week at Coco's is the best Cherry Cola I have ever tasted.  Had to special order it, worth the wait.  Special soda makes Coco's more special.
Read a book this week!  That makes me feel like my life is getting back to a new normal.  Hope to find time for more of that in the future.
Next week book club meets.  Leaving Tru Stories and The Kid in charge of Coco's.  They will do just fine.
