I bought myself a birthday gift. The 3G Kindle. The Sony e-reader did not work out. It went dead and I could not get it recharged. Not fun. This time I decided to make a serious commitment to the e-reader. My books take up too much room in my life. It needs to stop. Some books are great. I just do not need piles of books everywhere.
I thought the 3G would be great. I can check my e-mails from anywhere. Just not working out. I am not good at figuring out how to get into my e-mail account. I can never remember my password. It takes forever to type it in. Ugh! Maybe eventually I will figure it out.
I made the decision that I was going to get a color Nook. I watched the demonstration. It was beautiful and I loved it. The thing that changed my mind was I know several people that own Kindle and you can trade books. I still need to figure that out. The Kindle is so easy to read. It is so crisp. It does not even look real.
I am going to make an effort to use the Kindle. There are many free books. I have paid to download two books so far. I am reading one right now. Time will tell if I can really enjoy reading on the Kindle.
I, FINALLY, received my cappuccino machine last week. I am enjoying it. The downside is the espresso is tiny!! I can barely taste the coffee. I am trying to tweak it and get used to making it. Now I just need a peaceful morning to sit outside with a tiny cup of espresso and read.
I am looking forward to a 3 day work week. Followed by a mini vacation with the grandchildren and a friend.

I love my Kindle too although I have been back to "real" books lately. I didn't realize Kindle owners could trade! I haven't downloaded much other than the free books. And in case you haven't noticed, free books = classics that the copyright has run out on or Christian lit. I'm not afraid to commit to either. Happy reading!
