The Last Child by John Hart

I have read for 6 hours straight.  My eyes are blurred.  I feel completely spaced out.  Why?  Because my BFF gave me an awesome book to read.  She told me she could not put the book down.  I get it.  I was hooked in the first five pages.  It is a mystery.  I did not solve it.
Johnny Merrimon was twelve when his twin sister disappeared.  Now, one year later, she is presumed dead.  His mother is devastated, his father gone, and his life is not the same.  A very wealthy man is taking advantage of his mother.  Keeping her drunk and on drugs.  Abusing her and Johnny.
Clyde Hunt is the detective that was lead on Alyssa's kidnapping.  Clyde is obsessed with the case.  His wife left him.  His son is angry at Clyde for his obsession with the case.  Clyde cannot get Alyssa's innocent face out of his head.  He also cannot get the faces of Johnny and his Mom out of his thoughts.  Clyde knows both Katherine and Johnny need his help.  Neither will admit to Clyde that they are in trouble.
Johnny is still trying to find his sister.  His friend Jack is helping him.  Johnny searching turns up much more than his missing sister.  This book is filled with twists and turns.  It was hard to figure out who the bad guy was because there were so many.  If you like mysteries, this is a great one.  Normally, I do not like mysteries.  I am giving this book a 4.  If I loved mysteries, it would be a 5.
I am on a great reading streak that I do not want to end!  Loving it.  Unfortunately, I really wanted to get my book room organized today.  Did not get it done.  I started it.  Then I picked up the book.......
