In A Slump

I am in a reading slump.  I have not read anything I love in quite some time.  I have read books I enjoyed.  I have read books that are good.   Many books I can rate a 3.  I want a HELP.  I want a, BOY IN STRIPED PAJAMAS.  I want something GREAT!!!!  Not same old, same old.  I really enjoyed Reservation Road.  Now I want something better.
I thought that maybe my Kindle was causing the slump.  Not being able to look at the books I am buying.  The other day I tagged along when Old Lady went to Barnes on lunch.  I bought two books.  The first one had promise.  Then it took a dive.  I have not read the second book yet.
I suppose the problem could be that I have read too many books lately.  I might have ruined my enjoyment factor by worrying about numbers.  I might need to take a few days to cleanse my palate.  That is easier than is sounds.
I am putting it out there to anyone that reads this blog.  I need suggestions.  I need something great to read.  Help me out of my slump.
Thanks.

Never heard of it. Is it a new release?

I feel like this is a futile attempt at suggestions, but here are some of my favorites:

A Prayer for Owen Meany
The Alchemist
The Hunger Games trilogy
Pillars of the Earth
The Story of Edgar Sawtelle
The Hour I First Believed
I Know This Much Is True
Water for Elephants
My Sister's Keeper
Midwives
House Rules
The Memory Keeper's Daughter
The Notebook
The Secret Life of Bees

The various memoirs from Jennifer Lancaster are light, funny reads. I've also heard great things about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but I couldn't get into it. I need to give it another shot soon.

Thanks Mrs. I have not read the top 5 on your list. The rest I read and loved. I tried Pillars of the Earth and could not get into it. May try again!
I listened to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo on audio. The names were hard to follow in the book. Loved the audio.

have you read "The Hunger Games"? Or any by Vince Flynn?

I have not read The Hunger Games. I judged a book by the cover and did not want to read them. Maybe I should give them a try.

when I remember the name and location of that book store we went to, we can go back and get some new reading material....
