My Bucket List

Day one of our trip.  I packed too much.  I cannot pack light.  Just not my thing.  We traveled for about 11 hours today.  We stopped three times.  That is not bad with 5 kids.  They are good travelers.  Tomorrow we should be there in under six hours.  Everyone is ready to see the OCEAN.  We heard that a few times today.  We were talking about getting beyond Atlanta tonight.  Unfortunately, it was time to stop.  When the little girls started punching each other, we found a hotel quickly.
FYI to my Hubby:  When we add extra kids, we cannot fit in one hotel room.  Adjoining rooms at the Holiday Inn, not cheap.  Even with a discount.  Oh well, it is only money.
I really need to write a bucket list.  Thought I would try to put a few things down.

My list:

1.  Take an impromptu vacation - BIG check
2.  See Savannah, very soon
3.  See all the Great Lakes - Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, and Lake Ontario are done
4.  Get to Arizona again
5.  Go to Canada
6.  First I will need to get a Passport
7.  Lose weight
8.  See all my grand children as adults
9.  Go to Maine
9.  Hold a great grand baby

Doesn't seem like much.  I'm sure there is more.  I will think about it.

I was so excited to read about your trip...I took my "Senior" group on a Southern Classic Tour last year exactly this time. We saw Charleston, Savannah. IF you eat at Paula Deans get your reservations and go early to get in line. We also ate at Mrs. Wylkes boarding house. REAL SOUTHERN FOOD. they serve family style and our table had 26 yes, 26 bowls of food on it! That was a table of 8. On your way home swing through if you can Macon Georgia. The cherry blossoms may be out. BEAUTIFUL. The big old homes are beautiful. Oh, we did a ghost tour in Savannah. We had a ball. The little ones might be scared though. If you go to Charleston, the tea plantation was very interesting and beautiful. I am jealous...Wish I was there. Have a great trip. The Mrs. Mom Oh, enjoy the sweet tea!

I just thought of another thing....Tybee Island is just outside of Savannah, great beach for the kids. Also, on the way back you'll pass Paula Deans brothers eating establishment. I think it's called BuBa's.
