People Read My Blog

An odd thing happened the other day.  I met two people that read my blog.  People not related to someone I am related to.  It came as a surprise to me.  They said they are not stalkers.  Of course they aren't.  I put the blog out there.  Anyone can read it.  If I was not willing to let people read it, I could keep a private journal. 
Anyway, The Stalking Sisters, got in touch with me.  One of them works for the same company I do.  She sent an e-mail letting me know that they were going to have lots of books at a garage sale.  Unfortunately, I was busy on garage sale day.  ALL day.  I was bummed about missing it.  I received an e-mail on Monday that there were quite a few books left.  If I wanted the books, I could have them!!  The Stalking Sisters remembered that I organize a book sale at work to raise money for charity.  They were not kidding.  There were many, many books.  I made the decision to sell the books now instead of saving them for our fall sale.  I have enough books stacked at home without adding so many more.
I put the books on a table.  (Well, maybe I went through them and picked out a few for myself first.)  I sent an e-mail out to my department.  I put up a sign.  I said donations would be accepted for books.  The money I make will go towards our BackPack For Kids program at work.  The last few years the number of BackPacks that we donate has dropped.  Every little bit helps.  Some people have been very generous.  Some people have not been at all.  I feel good about it.  It is always nice to help people. 
To Stalking Sisters - Thank you for your generous donation.  There are many happy readers today because of you.  There will be kids with new backpacks because of you too!  Glad you read my blog.  Please become a follower.  Become a follower of all the blogs you read.  We like to know there are really people out there reading what we write.  Give us a nice ego boost.
The last few weeks have been crazy busy.  I was planning a luncheon, applying and interviewing for a job (no I did not get it.  Boo!), planning a Spring Festival and working at it.  Exhausting!!  Now I am dealing with a neck and back problem and not sleeping well.  Have not been reading as much as I would like to.  I have only finished one book lately.  One of the books from "The Trilogy" that everyone is talking about.  No time to write about it now.  Need to get some sleep.
The books are stacking up.  I need to find time to read this week-end!  I will also find time to write about what I read.
