The Sister Stalkers

I finished the first book I took from the many boxes of books donated by the Sister Stalkers.  (By the way, love that blog name.)  I do not know how many people the selection of books came from.  There were many different subjects.  I think I can say, the girls like to read and have good taste in books.
I am nursing a problem back right now.  Great opportunity to kick my recliner back and do some reading.  Last night I finished, Dancing Naked at the Edge of Dawn by Kris Radish.  This was a great read.  I love a story about self-exploration.  This story is about Meg Fratano.  She walks in on her husband having sex with another woman, IN THEIR bedroom.  Instead of confronting them, she hides and watches.  When she finally leaves, she falls into a deep shock.  She is sitting in her car and cannot remember how to drive.  She calls a good friend, Elizabeth.  Everyone should have an Elizabeth in their life.  Elizabeth is a strong woman who knows herself and lives her life true to what she believes.  She helps Meg begin a journey to find herself.
Meg quickly realizes she has lived in sadness so long she cannot remember how to be happy.  Meg explores her past and works on her future.  She goes to Mexico where her favorite Aunt spent so much time before her death.  What she finds, helps her realize what she needs and wants in life.
I rate the book a 4.

Tru Stories is toying with the idea of starting a book club.  She would tie it in with her yoga studio.  She asked me to recommend some books.  She wants books that would be Eat, Pray, Love(ish).  Here is a list I put together for you TS.  I did not read about every book.

Grace by Anne Lemont
Tales of a Female Nomad by Rita Golder Gelman
A Thousand Days in Venice by Marlena de Biasi
One Day by David Nicholls  (This sounds familiar to me.  Either I read it or have thought about reading it.)
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin   The Page Turner's read this, I gave it a 4.
One Moment, One Morning by Sarah Rayner

There you go.  See if you can find any good reads from that list.  I know you have watched the movie, Under The Tuscon Sun.  Hear the book is amazing.  Are you doing this to bring me back to yoga?
